Stripe for WooCommerce 10.8.0 turns on Optimized Checkout Suite and Adaptive Pricing for eligible stores

Stripe for WooCommerce 10.8.0 turns on two conversion features for all eligible stores and tightens up refunds, Klarna, and bank statement descriptors across the board.

Accept card payments in person in 13 new countries with WooCommerce In-Person Payments

WooCommerce In-Person Payments now works in 13 additional countries: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Singapore, and New Zealand. That brings the total from 3 countries to 16.

Merchants in any of these countries can accept card-present payments directly through the Woo mobile app (version 24.7) — at a retail counter, a market stall, a pop-up, or an event. Orders, inventory, and payment data all flow through WooCommerce, so there's no second system to reconcile.

The WisePad 3 card reader is required for the 13 new countries — available for purchase now from woocommerce.com. Connect the reader to the Woo...

Display shopper prices in their local currency with Adaptive Pricing from Stripe

Selling across borders just got simpler. The Stripe Adaptive Pricing feature automatically displays checkout prices in the shopper's local currency, so international shoppers in over 150 countries see a price they recognize before they pay. The rate is locked through settlement, meaning shoppers pay exactly what they see at checkout. Merchants settle in their base currency as usual.

This is particularly useful for stores that sell internationally but operate in a single currency. Instead of configuring exchange rates or managing multiple currency settings, merchants enable Adaptive Pricing, and Stripe automatically manages the conversion. Because prices are presented in local currency,...

WooCommerce POS: use a phone as your tablet’s card reader

WooCommerce POS now supports Remote Tap-to-Pay, letting you turn an Android phone into a card reader for your tablet. The two devices talk to each other over your store's Wi-Fi network, so you don't need a separate Bluetooth card reader at every checkout station.

On the phone, open Card Reader Mode under Settings > Payments. The phone shows a 6-digit pairing code. From your tablet, start a card reader connection. The phone appears in the discovered readers list with the same code. Tap to confirm, ring up the sale on the tablet, and the phone prompts the customer to tap...

Stay on top of Square for WooCommerce product sync

Square for WooCommerce 5.3.3 adds a new Woo Admin dashboard notice that alerts you when your WooCommerce product catalog hasn't synced with Square recently, so you can catch issues before they affect inventory.

This release also prevents duplicate Square catalog items when a product SKU already exists, and stops unmatched variations from overwriting unrelated products during sync.Inventory pushes now fall back to SKU-based lookups when a Square variation ID is missing, so stock updates go through even when the connection between products isn't perfect.

Syncs no longer stall on malformed Square catalog data, and removing payment tokens on staging...

Review and manage subscription renewal states with the new Subscriptions Health Check

The Subscriptions Health Check tool gives merchants a clear view of subscriptions that may not be renewing as expected — so you can review them and take action from the subscription edit screen.

Find it at WooCommerce > Status > Subscriptions. It runs on a nightly schedule and can be triggered manually at any time. No automatic changes are made to your subscriptions.

The tool surfaces two categories:

Supports auto-renewal — subscriptions currently set to manual renewal where the customer has a saved payment token on a gateway that supports automatic billing. These are the ones most likely to warrant a closer look.
